we believe in the dignity of all.
The Mission: To help those experiencing homelessness with resources and a path forward.
The Vision: All unsheltered are guided to viable solutions and achieve a life of stability and positive possibilities.
Safe Harbor Helpline exists for the moment when everything has fallen apart.
A job loss. A health crisis. An eviction notice. A relationship that broke down. These things happen fast, and when they do, knowing where to turn makes all the difference.
We answer the phone, listen to what's happening, and do an assessment to understand what you need. From there, we connect you with the right resources — local shelter availability, our emergency motel program if you qualify, or a referral into Beaufort County's coordinated housing services.
We serve Beaufort County. We work alongside shelters, coordinated entry, churches, and local agencies so that one phone call can open more than one door.
Call us: 252-634-8585 — available Monday-Friday, 12pm-9pm
“Homelessness in Beaufort County can often start with one traumatic illness, a job loss, or a domestic disturbance. There are so many other reasons, too. We try to make sure one bad event doesn’t become something permanent.”
